Medical/Scientific Graphic Artist
I'm a graphic artist specializing in medical/scientific design for academic research. I am passionate about creating graphics that effectively communicate the message or story, making it easy to understand at first glance. I enjoy collaborating with principal investigators, faculty, and students to successfully create graphics that depict complex scientific research and medical processes. My work has been published in various international scientific journals, publications, and textbooks. I am comfortable and knowledgeable with both digital imaging and print processes.
Adobe Creative Suite using Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat Professional, Premiere, and Adobe Experience Manager; create vector & bitmapped medical/scientific figure illustrations used in journals such as Nature, Cell, Blood, etc.; reformat or rebuild files as needed for print or digital purposes according to specs provided; macro (gross) and micro photography (microscopy with high-resolution cameras) and image editing such as photo composition, retouching, image stacking, and image formatting for both print and digital use; I communicate well with principal investigators, physicians, faculty, and students with the ability to understand and promote their work through the graphics I create; some marketing experience using MailChimp; Proficient and knowledgeable and experienced in digital imaging and print processes.
